Today's Supreme Court

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote a strongly worded dissent, saying the court's decision would "sorely hamper the president's ability to confront and defeat a new and deadly enemy."
The court's willingness, Thomas said, "to second-guess the determination of the political branches that these conspirators must be brought to justice is both unprecedented and dangerous."

I'd expect these words from a member of Congress, but a Supreme Court Justice? I'll have to read Thomas' dissent to see what legal standpont he's coming from, but this type of totally politically charged language from a Supreme Court Justice makes me want to hurl. Even with Roberts weighing in, the decision would have been the same (5-4, other than 5-3). It's good to see that the Supremes haven't totally gone off the ledge.

Here's more on this.

Does Thomas not find it dangerous that the Judical Branch of this country is constantly under attack by the Republican controlled Executive and Legislative branches? And what the hell kind of law education did this guy *get*? What part of this dissent is based on actual LAW??? Way to protect our Constitution Thomas. What a loser.
